Facilities
We pride ourself on our customer care and have recently refurbished the main practice to ensure our clients and patients receive the best possible veterinary care.
Reception
When you arrive at either surgery, please let our friendly reception team know and they will aim to ensure that you are seen promptly.
We offer 10 minute appointments, using multiple appointments where necessary. We work hard to keep to time, but do please be patient if on occasion, due to an emergency or trauma we run late.
We have recently updated the waiting room decor, which includes freshly painted walls, brightly coloured, easy to clean seating and a children’s colouring area, as well as an informative TV display, which provides information about the Practice services as well as general information about pet care.
Consult room
There are 3 consult rooms at our main practice. This is where your pet’s initial examination will take place and we strive to ensure that this is a stress free experience for both you and your pet.
The vets will discuss their findings with you here and decisions about your pet’s treatment and care will then be made following discussion with you.
Dental treatment room
Mouth and teeth health is of vital importance to the overall well being of your pet. Poor oral health can lead to local problems such as pain, gum diseases and tooth loss, but can also have far more severe and wide reaching consequences for your pet, such as heart disease.
Our brand new dental room offers your pet the very best in veterinary dental care. The ultrasonic scaler and polishing unit help to keep your pets mouth and teeth healthy, fresh and free of bacteria.
We are also happy to be able to offer Dental Xrays – this will enable us to have a better idea of how periodontal disease can affect the long term health of the teeth and identify teeth that need extracting.
Operating theatre
Our new operating theatre is a dedicated clean environment where our experienced vets can perform a range of surgical procedures such as neutering, fracture repairs and caesarean sections.
Ultrasound
Our practice has an ultrasound machine which allows us to perform certain non invasive internal examinations of your pet.
We are able to scan your dog or cat to check for pregnancies and to monitor the health of puppies and kittens during the pregnancy.
We are also able to scan the abdominal organs and the heart to detect abnormalities. This is something that can often be performed in the conscious patient, reducing the risk of sedation or anaesthesia required for xrays.
Laboratory
The practice has biochemistry, haematology and electrolyte machines in our practice laboratory. These machines allow us to test patients blood “in house” quickly, sometimes while you wait. This allows us to reach a diagnosis quickly.
Inpatient care area
Should your pet require overnight veterinary care, they can be comfortably accommodated in our newly renovated, air conditioned hospitalisation facilities.
We have separate dog and cat wards and a large, separate, isolation ward, so that patients may be isolated thereby minimising the potential spread of infectious diseases. Patients are monitored regularly throughout the night by our nursing staff.
A large garden at the rear of the premises allows inpatients to walked and exercised as required.
Services
We offer veterinary care for all small animals by appointment at our two surgeries.
Location
We have two conveniently located surgeries one located in Hodge Hill and the other in Coleshill.
